Bats on Campus - Monday 4th 6pm
First up - Bats on Campus with Dr. Caitriona Carlin! This event will take place on Monday from 6pm, starting from the Space. Weather permitting, Caitriona will lead a bat walk around campus while teaching us about Ireland''s bats! If it rains, this walk will be substituted for a talk in the Space.
Accessibility Info: The Space is wheelchair accessible.
Critter Cafe and Bake Sale - Tuesday 5th 1-4pm
Fan favourite Critter Cafe is of course being held for Wildlife Week - join us in the Cube from 1-4pm to meet Lenny and friends, and maybe buy some sweet treats from our bake sale!
Accessibility Info: This venue is wheelchair accessible. There will be live snakes and large insects at this event.
Table Quiz - Wednesday 6th 7pm
Test your animal (and other) knowledge with our Table Quiz at the Palás Cinema Bar on Wednesday from 7pm! There will also be a raffle, and there's loads of great prizes up for grabs! This event is ticketed, and you can buy a ticket now by clicking here, or you can get a ticket on the night (space dependent, so I'd recommend getting your ticket online ahead of time!).
Irish Wildlife Sounds Talk - Thursday 7th 2-3:30pm
Join us in the Meeting Rooms on Thursday from 2-3:30pm for a talk by ornithologist Seán Ronayne from Irish Wildlife Sounds, where he will talk about his project! Seán was featured on the Tommy Tiernan Show in January, where he talked about his mission to record every bird sound in Ireland, as well as future plans to record other animals in Ireland.
Accesibility Info: This venue is wheelchair accessible.
Grattan Beach Clean - Friday 8th Time TBA
And finally to wrap up the week, we will be joining Marine Soc, Envirosoc, Vegsoc and the Student Union for a beach clean at Grattan Beach, Salthill! Time TBA later this week as we monitor tide times.
