About:

The James Hardiman library is the main library for the University. It contains archives, special collections, and a selection of computers students have free access to. It also has meeting rooms for group study, the academic writing center, and the disability support service.

The Library is located in the center of campus beside the Arts/Science Concourse and across from the Arts Millennium Building.

The James Hardiman Library is a legal deposit or "copyright library", which means that publishers in the country must deposit a copy of all their publications there, free of charge.

The Library is named in honour of James Hardiman who was the University's first Librarian.
