PhotoSoc Digital and Film Photography Workshop
When: 4pm - 6pm
Where: The View, Áras na Mac Léinn
Are you a beginner in photography? Or want to take it up? Join PhotoSoc an interactive workshop with a freelance photographer! You'll be discussing the basic of a camera and exploring the complexities of exposure and composition, so be sure to come by. All levels of photographic skill welcome!
Edible Ecosystems and Biodiversity trail:
When 4pm - 4.45pm
Where: Herb Bed outside Moffatts Cafe (side of Orbsen Building.
Start at herb bed outside Moffatts.
Then go to baby orchard and organic garden and fruit bushes: 30-45 minutes Students will find out what's available on campus grounds.
The Hub TGI Friday:

Want somewhere to chill out, have a chat and meet new friends? Drop into our TGI Friday wekly event and have a tea and goodies with the Well Crew and SocsBox staff who are here to make your transition to university as fun and welcoming as possible! We will be showing you how to make your own stress ball!

Come on a tour of Áras na Mac Léinn the student building where we rehearse, followed by a dance workshop where we will teach you one of our musical numbers from last year’s main show All Shook Up.
Zoosoc Trivia Night:

Join Zoosoc and test your knowledge of all things creature like. we will have rounds including general pop-culture and animal-themed. With Prizes and snacks.
Anime & Manga Kahoot:

Where: The Hub Áras na Mac Léinn
Are you an anime aficionado? A master of all things manga? A lover of light novels? Then come on down and test your knowledge in the Anime & Manga Society's Kahoot Night! we will be hosting multiple Kahoot quizzes based on all sorts of anime and manga trivia. No sign-ups needed, just bring your phone (and yourself!) and join in on the fun :)

Mandatory Session
Where: The Bailey Allen Hall, Áras na Mac Léinn
All you need to know to get off to a good start! Get practical tips on surviving and thriving in university from finding your timetable, learning to house share, making friends and getting involved in your university community. Presented by your Students’ Union, Student Societies and ALIVE Volunteering. Why not enjoy all that is on offer at the Freshers Fest and pop over to the Student BBQ at the Chaplaincy after the talk and grab some delicious food?
All College of Arts, Social Sciences & Celtic Studies and all College Business, Public Policy & Law students.

Meet the Societies, including Timelord Soc testing your Dr. Who Knowledge, Filmsoc, Women in Law Socs and Photo Soc will be challenging you to a guessing games and get creative with Writers soc. Live bands, freebies, free food, win prizes… need we say more! The Freshers' Fest is the place to be, to kick back and hang out with new and old friends alike!

Visit the stands in the Foyer to get some useful info, learn about supports and maybe even take part in a giveaway or two!
Treasure Hunt
When: 12pm–1.30pm & 2pm - 3.30pm
Where: Gazebo outside Foyer, Aras na Mac Leinn
Solve some riddles, get to know your new campus better and make new friends along the way with this fun filled treasure hunt devised by Cumann Staire our History Society. Give your brain a workout for the chance to win the fabulous prizes including €20 on your SU card for the winning team.
