Join Writers Soc at the Socsbox Christmas Fair for a unique bookish experience! We're hosting a Blind Date with a Book where you can pick up a mystery novel wrapped up in festive paper, each with a brief description to tempt your curiosity.  You can donate your unwanted books to help make this event a success, and then come along to browse, buy, and maybe find your next favourite read — all while supporting a great cause! All the proceeds will go to charity, so you can feel good about your bookish indulgence. Whether you're treating yourself or gifting someone else, this is the perfect way to add some literary magic to your festive season.

This Christmas, support Best Buddies and Ability West by picking up a beautiful handmade Christmas card or festive decorations. All proceeds go directly to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. It’s a wonderful way to give back while adding some holiday cheer to your home.

Medicine Society 

Christmas Appeal in Aid of Cope Galway

The festive season is almost here, and Medsoc is thrilled to launch a donation drive in support of Cope Galway, one of our city’s incredible local charities!  Cope Galway provides vital help to homeless families, domestic abuse survivors, and senior citizens. This year, we’re proud to support their Solás Óg service, which helps families and young people affected by domestic abuse.

We Need Your Help!
To make this a success, we need as many people as possible to join in! Please help spread the word about our appeal and donate if you can. Here are some ideas for what you can contribute:

Sweets (Selection boxes, tubs of sweets, and other festive treats)  
Juices or Fizzy Drinks
Children's PJs
Clothing (Especially for boys aged 13+)  
Toiletries
Adult Clothing (Hoodies, leggings, etc.)  
Skincare/Makeup Items
Winter Items (Hats, gloves, scarves)  
Family Activity Vouchers (cinema, aquarium, bowling, etc.)

Note: For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept any used items of clothing. Feel free to message me if you’re unsure about any other items!

Donation Drop-Off
Bring your donations to the Society Christmas Fair in Aras na Mac Léinn on Wednesday, 13th Nov from 1 pm – 6 pm. Other drop-off opportunities will be confirmed next week!

Together, let’s bring a little extra sparkle to Galway this holiday season!
