What is 'CARA Connect' ?
CARA Connect is a peer buddy programme to increase social interactions amongst our student population. It aims to support the power of conversation and connection between students to help combat the feelings of isolation, loneliness, and disconnection during the beginning of college.
The CARA Connect Programme will run for first year students for 4 weeks over the month of October. It will be held online on Monday 4th, 11th, 18th and Tuesday 26th at 6 p.m, with a short presentation each week from a guest speaker followed by an opportunity to connect with fellow students.
This programme is designed to allow you to connect with others in a way that you find comfortable and in a small way aims to provide opportunities for you to meet new people and make lifelong connections within NUI Galway
